Printable Elf Craft
Because this Christmas craft requires no special supplies, your kids will be ready to make them in no time.
They are perfect for use in the classroom, at home, or during storytime at the library.
What You’ll Need
- Cardstock
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Crayons or colored pencils
What You’ll Do
Print out the template (at the bottom of this post) on cardstock. I like to use cardstock, because it’s sturdier than printer paper.

Have children color the pieces however they’d like. They can use Christmas colors, or they can use their favorite colors.

Once the elf is colored to your satisfaction, it’s time to cut out all of the pieces. Instruct your kids to cut on the dotted line.
Younger children may need help from an older sibling or parent. But, this is a great opportunity to have them strengthen their fine motor muscles with a little scissor practice.

Now, it’s time to assemble the elf paper craft. I find it easiest to start with the feet. Then, add the shirt leaving space to slip the arms under the sides of the shirt. Finally, add the head and then the hat and it’s done!
