Why use writing prompts?

There are many reasons why you might want to use writing prompts with your kids. Perhaps you are looking for a way to help them get started on a writing assignment, or you want to give them a chance to express their thoughts and feelings. Writing prompts can also be a great way to help kids practice their writing skills.

If you want to use writing prompts with your kids, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, make sure that the prompts are appropriate for your child’s age and level of maturity. You don’t want to give them something that is too difficult or too easy. Also, be sure to provide enough guidance so that your child knows what you expect them to write about.

You can use writing prompts in your homeschool lessons in a variety of ways. For example, you can use them as part of a writing unit, as part of a morning routine, or as an occasional activity. You can also vary the type of prompts you use. For example, you might want to try different styles of prompts, such as picture prompts, word prompts, or question prompts.

Preparing the Pages

These writing prompts are super easy to prepare. Just print and go! You can print the pages back-to-back, or you can print them one-sided. That is up to you.

You can also print extra “second” pages if you have a child who really likes to write and needs more lines.

What’s Included?

In this packet of picture prompts, you’ll receive eight unique prompts. Each prompt is a picture only – no words. The top half of the page is a picture, and the bottom is lined for writing.
