Are you looking for an indoor activity that requires no prep work? This indoor bedroom scavenger hunt is sure to keep the kids entertained for the afternoon!
Rainy days can seem to drag on and on. Hot summer afternoons can seem unbearable when it’s too hot to play outside. Cold winter days never end when you’re trying to keep kids entertained. I’ve got something fun that will help you break up the monotony of a day spent indoors!
Bedroom Scavenger Hunt
Download the Bedroom Scavenger Hunt file (at the end of this post), and you’re all set! You can laminate it if you’d like to be able to use it over and over again. Just have kids mark their findings with a dry erase marker. Then, they can wipe it clean when they’re done.
What is a scavenger hunt?
A scavenger hunt is an activity that involves having children look for a prescribed set of items.
This indoor scavenger hunt asks kids to look for things around their bedrooms.
Other hunts may have kids look for items in nature, certain numbers of items, or items of a specific color.
How to have a scavenger hunt
Print one copy of the bedroom scavenger hunt for each team or each individual player. The choice is yours.
On your signal, send kids to their rooms to hunt for each item on the list. Designate a drop-off point for each item they find. Have them mark their lists as they go so they know what else to look for.
You can use this scavenger hunt printable in your classroom or around the house. Kinds can play individually or siblings/teams can play together.
Scavenger hunts are perfect for rainy days, hot summer afternoons, cold winter days, slumber parties, play dates, and more!
