One of my homeschooling mom friends taught an apple theme for kids last fall and it was so much fun!

The kids loved learning about all the different types of apples, what colors they came in, and how to make applesauce. They even had a chance to go on an apple picking field trip which they all loved.

If you’re looking for a fun homeschooling theme for the fall or autumn months, I highly recommend teaching an apple theme!

Apple Activities for Kids

One of my favorite themes to teach during the fall months is an apple theme. I love doing this theme in the fall, when the weather is cool and the leaves are changing color.

We start off by reading a few apple-themed books, like The Biggest Apple Ever and How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World.

Then we do some fun apple crafts, like making our own applesauce or decorating an apple tree. We also learn about the different types of apples and taste test a few different kinds.

The activities featured below will help you flesh out an apple theme you can use in your own homeschool.

Homeschooling parents are always on the lookout for new and interesting units to keep their kids engaged. One unit that is sure to please is an apple unit.

Apples are a versatile fruit that can be used in a variety of ways. They can be used for cooking, baking, or even just eaten raw as a snack. And there are so many different types of apples to explore, from sweet to tart, red to green.

An apple unit can teach kids about the different types of apples, where they come from, how they are grown, and how to use them in a variety of recipes.

It’s a fun and delicious way to learn about science, history, and nutrition all at the same time.

What are some fun things to do with kids during apple season?

Apple season is a great time to spend some quality time with your kids. There are lots of fun activities that you can do together to create lasting memories.

One fun activity is to go apple picking together at a local farm. You can also visit an apple orchard and go on a hayride.

Another fun activity is to make homemade applesauce or apple pies together. You can also take a trip to an apple festival where you can eat all kinds of apple-themed foods and drinks, play games, and listen to live music.
