How to Make Story Stones
If you want to make your own story stones, you'll need a pencil and some paint pens. Sketch your design on the rock with a pencil.
Then, use paint pens to fill in the design. Finally, outline with a black paint pen. Let your rocks dry, and you're all set.
If you don't think you're up for drawing what you want, gather some old picture books, magazines, or sticker books.
To use stickers, just stick the sticker to a flat rock and smooth it out. Cover the rock with a coat of mod podge, and let it dry.
To use old magazines or picture books, cut out the image you wish to use. Spread a thin layer of mod podge on the rock and adhere your picture. Coat the rock with another layer of mod podge to seal the image to the rock. Let it dry.
