Jonah and the Whale Color Page

Coloring pages aren’t just for kids! In fact, they can be quite therapeutic for adults as well.

I enjoyed testing out this coloring page myself, and I bet you will, too.

How to Prepare This Printables

This coloring page is pretty simple to prepare. Just print it on regular printer paper, and you’re all set!

I like to print mine on cardstock, because I think crayons color smoother on cardstock than on printer paper.

You could also cut down some watercolor paper if your kids want to use markers or watercolor pencils. Watercolor paper will help prevent the colors from bleeding.

More Ways to Use the Coloring Pages

Of course, you color the pictures on coloring pages. But, there are so many more ways you can use these pages to inspire creativity in your kids.

Creating Writing

Use the image on the coloring page as a picture prompt. Have your kids tell how they’d feel or what they’d do if they were Jonah in the belly of a whale.

Use the page to spark a lesson on whales. Read a few nonfiction books about whales. Kids can use them to create a list of different types of whales. They can write this list on the back of the coloring page.
