This adorable handprint elf craft is perfect for Christmas! It’s so easy that even preschoolers can make them.

I love holiday crafting with my kids, and this Christmas handprint craft is going to be a hit with my grandson in December.

With just a few supplies you’ve probably got in your craft closet already, kids of all ages can whip up this simple elf craft in no time.

Handprint Elf Craft

You won’t believe how easy it is to make this adorable Christmas craft. In just a few minutes, you can have a super simple paper craft to display.

What You’ll Need

What You’ll Do

Use a pencil to trace hand shape on flesh colored paper. Use scissors to carefully cut out hand shape.

Place the hand cut out on top of another colored sheet of paper and trace only the middle 3 fingers for the elf hat. Carefully cut out the hat shape.

Using the colored paper, cut thin strips for the brim of the elf hat.

To assemble the elf. start by applying glue to the middle three fingers of the hand cut out.

Carefully place your hat cut out on the glue and press firmly.

Now add a thin line of glue on the bottom of your hat and apply a thin cut strip to make the brim.

On the top of the hat place small dots of glue where you would like to apply the craft poms and press them on top of the glue dots and press firmly.

Just under the brim of the hat, apply two small dots of glue and apply the craft eyes. If desired, use a marker to draw on eyelashes just above the eyes.

Now use markers or paint pens to draw a nose and a beautiful smile on the face of the elf.

To complete the elf, use the markers or paint pens to decorate the hat and/or brim anyway you like.

The elves are now ready to get to work and celebrate the holidays!
