These free printable Halloween dot to dots are the perfect quiet time activity for kids during the month of October.
These homeschool Halloween activities also help kids practice number recognition and number order.
Kids can also get creative as they color in the Halloween characters once they’ve connected all the dots.
Halloween Dot to Dots
I love when an activity doubles as a learning tool. And these dot-to-dot worksheets do just that!
Because they are print-and-go, they’re perfect for busy moms and homeschool co-op teachers alike.
What I love most about activities like this is that they are great for keeping hands busy while you read-aloud or watch a movie during your homeschool day.
What do kids learn from dot-to-dots?
I think these dot-to-dots may be a little challenging for young children. However, if your kids are familiar with numbers greater than 30, they can complete these pages to work on important math skills such as number recognition and number order.
They’ll strengthen fine motor skills as they grip their pencils properly and draw lines from number to number. They’ll also strengthen hand-eye coordination and build concentration.
When they’ve completed the dot to dot, they can then color each Halloween character. They can use the image in the top right corner of the page as an example, or they can use their imagination to create their own picture.
PREPARING THE WORKSHEETS
All you have to do to prepare this activity is print them out. It’s that easy!
However, if you’d like to make them reusable, you can laminate them after printing them out.
Have kids use a dry erase marker to complete the page and wipe it clean when they’re done.
I love to incorporate movies and videos into our unit studies whenever possible. They’re perfect for sick days or rainy days. Here are a few ideas for kids:
