If you’re looking for a fun, screenfree activity to do with your kids this summer, check out this ABC nature scavenger hunt!
This one-page, print-and-go scavenger hunt for kids is a great way to engage your kids on your summer outings.
Encourage them to hunt for the objects, mark them off the list, and celebrate when they’ve finished.
To prepare for the scavenger hunt, print out one page for each participant. Gather pencils or crayons for each one.
If you’d like to make the page reusable, you can laminate it and have kids use dry erase markers to mark their findings.
ABC Nature Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunts are fun for kids of all ages. They love hunting for various objects and crossing them off a list as they do.
When I take kids on an outdoor scavenger hunt, I prefer to clip the pages to a clipboard which makes it easier to cross off the items they find.
You can have each child search individually, or you can print one for the family to complete together.
This particular scavenger hunt is perfect for pairing older and younger siblings as the scavenger hunt finds will need to be written on the lines.
Unlike the other printable scavenger hunts that I’ve shared on the blog thus far, this one does not have picture or word clues.
This printable features the letters of the alphabet. As you and your kids are out and about, have your children be on the look out for objects that begin with each letter.
You can take this scavenger hunt page on your neighborhood walks, homeschool field trips, or even on your summer vacations.
Make a note of the start and finish dates to record how long it takes your family to find objects for all of the letters.
