These free camping worksheets give elementary students an opportunity to work on a variety of language arts skills!
Whether you enjoy backyard campouts, summer camping adventures, or camping with the scouts in the fall, these fun camping activities for homeschoolers are perfect for working on important skills with a fun camping theme.
Free Camping Worksheets
Your children will have a blast working through these worksheets one by one practicing and reinforcing language arts concepts such as compound words, syllables, position words (prepositions), and more.
While these worksheets are designed for use with early elementary students, they can be used with older students who could use a little extra practice with any or all of these skills.
Because these worksheets are print-and-go, they are perfect for busy moms and homeschool co-op teachers. There is no prep work involved.
PREPARING THE WORKSHEETS
All you need to do to prepare these worksheets is print them out! It’s that easy.
However, if you’d like to make them reusable, you can laminate them after printing them out. Have kids complete the activities with a dry erase marker.
On this worksheet, there are six sentences for kids to read. They’ll use position words from the word bank to complete each sentence that describes a camping picture.
Read and Color
Students will read each sentence on the page and follow the directions to color each picture.
Children will put ten camping-themed words in alphabetical order to the first letter.
Kids will unscramble ten words (the same words listed on the ABC order page) related to camping.
This worksheet includes seven camping-themed words. Kids will write each word putting spaces between the syllables. Then, they’ll choose a word to use in a sentence.
