Whether you celebrate the holiday in person or you celebrate from afar, it's fun to teach kids about different holidays throughout the year.

This free printable bingo game is the perfect addition to your Mardi Gras homeschool ideas.

Mardi Gras Bingo

This free printable bingo game can be played with kindergarten and elementary grade kiddos. I think they may be too challenging for preschoolers unless they team up with an older sibling.

Bingo games can be used to entertain children on a rainy day or used as a boredom buster. Add this game to your social studies lessons when you teach about Alabama, Louisiana, or cultural holidays.

You can even add this game to a Mardi Gras themed birthday party celebration, or just spend an afternoon playing with your child.

Preparing the Bingo Games

Print all the bingo boards, calling cards, and bingo chips on cardstock and laminate for durability. Cut the boards apart – two to a page.

Cut apart the bingo cards and bingo chips. I like to use a paper cutter to but them all apart, because it is so much faster than cutting with scissors.

How to Play Bingo with Kids

Each person playing should have a bingo board. There are ten bingo boards included in this pack.

In addition to a bingo board, each player needs bingo chips to cover their spaces. You can use the paper chips included in this pack, or you can use pennies, buttons, or other small manipulatives.

Place the calling cards in the center of the table face down. Turn one calling card face up, and each player will search for that image on their bingo board. If they have that image on their board, they will cover the image with a marker.

The first player to cover five in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) is the winner!

You can make the game last longer by playing cover all where the winner must cover all the squares on their board.
