There are many ways to practice letter sounds. One way is to focus on beginning sounds.

• Use real objects from your child's world. When cleaning up toys, challenge them to put away toys that begin with certain sounds.

• Read alphabet books. Identify the letter featured on each page and exaggerate the beginning sound of the objects shown on each letter page.

Using Cut and Paste Pages

Using cut and paste pages in your preschool and kindergarten lessons is a great way to strengthen fine motor skills.

Cut and paste pages help little ones practice proper scissor technique. They will practice holding the paper in one hand and scissors in the other.

Pasting the cutouts in the proper spot strengthens hand-eye coordination as kids line up the cutout with the empty box on the page.

Preparing the Cut and Paste Worksheets

This set of print-and-go worksheets only need to be printed out. Then, they're ready for your kids to complete.

However, if you'd like to make these pages reusable, you can print them on cardstock and laminate them. Cut out the letters at the bottom of the page.
